Entry #2 Which is better, Dutch Bros or Starbucks?

 Coffee shops have become an essential part of many consumers' daily routines.  It is not just a morning routine anymore, but it has become a habit that is visited throughout the day.  The question is, which coffee shop is better? The two contenders that seem to be the most popular are Dutch Bros and Starbucks.  While both serve similar beverages, they do offer a different experience to their consumers.

  


Starbucks offers either a drive-thru and/or walk-in, sit-down setting. They always have the same sophisticated, warm aesthetic and they offer a comfortable place to enjoy your beverage or food where you can plug into their Wi-Fi to work, study, or socialize with family and friends.  When you visit a Starbucks, it is always obvious that most of the customers are not in any hurry to grab a beverage and go.  Starbucks is more geared to the consumer who wants to sit and stay for a while.  As far as drink options go, Starbucks sticks to a variety of traditional hot and cold coffees, teas, and food selections, which seem to be targeted towards an older audience.  



In contrast to Starbucks, Dutch Bros offers a very different beverage and food experience.  Dutch Bros does not have a walk-in, sit down, coffee shop setting.  You can either utilize the drive-thru or you can choose to order at the walk-up window.  You will find that only some locations offer outdoor tables to sit down to enjoy your beverage and/or food.  Dutch Bros is more geared to the consumer who wants to grab and go.  As far as beverage options go, Dutch Bros offers more of an iced or blended coffee, teas, lemonades, imaginative fusions, smoothies, and shakes. Their food options are primarily sweets. It seems to be more tailored towards a younger crowd. A few times a month, Dutch Bros will treat their customers to free stickers or collectibles for limited-time offerings. This always seems to draw customers in and keep them coming back.  

Deciding whether Starbucks or Dutch Bros is better really depends on the consumer's preference.  If you are someone who prefers a more relaxing setting, you're going to favor Starbucks.  If you are someone who just wants to quickly grab a fun drink and a sweet treat, and hit the road, then you are opt for Dutch Bros. No matter which consumer you are, both Starbucks and Dutch Bros offer unique experiences bound to satisfy your coffee needs.

    It's interesting to read your blog entry about the differences between Starbucks and Dutch Bros. Reading this blog differentiates the two and gives the reader an opportunity to form their opinion on which coffee place they prefer. Highlighting that Starbucks offers a more quiet and comfortable experience, allowing consumers to enjoy their beverage as they sit down inside the establishment. As well as noting that Dutch Bros doesn't offer the same sit-down experience but does offer a wider selection of items. Both are great options, but ultimately its up to the consumer to decide what they prefer.

Entry#3: Mint

As the wrapper crinkles, you're blown away by a cool refreshing smell that's pleasing to your senses. The foil crinkles and folds back in uneven edges, catching the light in quick flashes. Inside sits a narrow, pale strip with specks of sparkly blue or green.  It is smooth, clean, almost too perfect resting in its sleeve like it’s been waiting.  I grab the strip out of the silver wrapper. It's delicate, fragile, and can break in half on you at any moment if aggressive with it. No fuss, no mess. You can smell the freshness and for a second it makes your nostrils feel chilly.
